On September 17, 2024, Kalaburagi proudly celebrated the 76th Kalyana Karnataka Utsav, commemorating its liberation from the Nizam of Hyderabad.

Chief Minister Shri. Siddaramaiah hoisted the national flag and unveiled plans to shape Kalaburagi into a Smart City, with an investment of ₹1,685 crore.

The event saw the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Shri. D.K. Shivakumar, Minister Shri. Priyank Kharge, and other esteemed Cabinet members.

On August 29, 2024, the Finance Commission, led by Shri Arvind Panagariya, convened a consultative meeting with representatives of major political parties, representatives of Urban Local Bodies, representatives of Rural Local Bodies, representatives of Trade & Industry in Karnataka.

The event was attended by Karnataka Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister Shri D.K. Shivakumar, IT-BT Minister Shri Priyank Kharge, Industries and Infrastructure Development Minister Shri M.B. Patil, Karnataka Energy Minister Shri K.J. George, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri. HK Patil and other state representatives.

The meeting also saw the participation of commission members Shri Ajay Narayan Jha, Smt. Annie George Mathew, Shri Manoj Panda, and Shri Soumya Kanti Ghosh.

The 69th Karnataka Rajyotsava was celebrated with a prestigious award ceremony on the 1st of November, 2024 at the iconic steps of Vidhana Soudha.

The event was graced by Chief Minister Shri. Siddaramaia, Deputy Chief Minister Shri. D.K. Shivakumar, Kannada and Culture Minister Shri. Shivaraj Tangadagi, and Home Minister Shri. G. Parameshwara and other dignitaries.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah honored 69 distinguished individuals for their remarkable contributions.

The Asmite Trade Fair, held at Chitrakala Parishath in November 2022, was a vibrant celebration inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister for SDEL, Dr. Ashwath Narayan, and esteemed dignitaries. This fair showcased the remarkable skills and potentials of incredible women from across Karnataka.

In accordance with the National Education Policy 2020, Chief Minister @bsbommai.official launched several initiatives in Karnataka on the 12th of October 2021.

Including an engineering curriculum, the Karnataka Preferred Locations Campaign for technical education, engineering education in Kannada medium, and a four-year B.Sc. and Pharma course program in engineering colleges.

Deputy Chief Minister DK Sivakumar, after a series of meetings with stakeholders, even sought ideas from the public to revive Brand Bengaluru. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah further emphasized the significance of addressing the city's major challenges through the theme during the budget speech. He highlighted nine major challenges: traffic management, environment, solid waste management, proper utilization of public places, public health, animal health, people-friendly e-Governance, water security, and flood management. By addressing these challenges in a planned and scientific manner.

CSR Education Conclave - Nurturing Dreams and Transforming Lives, as part of the Samatva Program, took place at Vidhana Soudha on 19th August 2024.

The event saw the presence of Shri. D. K. Shivakumar, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri. Madhu Bangarappa, Hon’ble Minister, Shri. Priyank Kharge, Hon’ble Minister for E, IT & BT, and other key officials and corporate representatives.

The State Government has identified over 2,000 schools in rural Karnataka for corporate adoption under this initiative.
